Looking for Volunteers...
Norfolk County & Stix n Pix, are announcing that at Talbot Gardens we will host the Bauer 1st Shift Program starting Wed Oct 26, between 6-8pm. This is when all 45 kids registered will be fitted with their new equipment. 

- We are looking for a total of 10 volunteers for this day to show up at Talbot Gardens at 4:30 pm.  to support.


We will help unload equipment, Bauer reps, will prep volunteers on how to properly fit the equipment, so we are all ready for the 6-8pm fittings and stay afterward for the take down/cleanup.  Anyone interested please email us at info@stixnpix

- We are also looking for 10 volunteers for when the kids hit the ice for the first time Sunday Nov 6 10:30am-11:30am and the 5 Sundays following. (Check back on our site to confirm time and location as they do change a bit. All times will be posted soon)

Volunteer on ice helpers would be expected to assist kids on ice with the basic fundamentals of the game. 

Thank you to our supporters and donors of Stix n Pix , we have been able to purchase the following items to support Bauer 1st Shift Program and Pond Hockey Sundays.

- Rink 1'x2' divider boards being used for small area games, skills & drills.  These divider boards will have advertising sliders in them that businesses can rent space in.  (please email [email protected] for more information).

- We have 4 smaller sized real nets for the sessions, focus on development age appropriate playing equipment.

- Stix n Pix is also proud to announce they will be donating 50 - 4oz Blue Pucks to each Center since the OMHA has now made a Policy, that each minor hockey association purchase these pucks for all IP programs.  They will be handed out shortly to each association.

Follow us on Facebook and or check in with our website  and look for Pond Hockey Sundays.  Most sessions will take place in Norfolk County's Talbot Gardens in Simcoe.  This will be a trial run, and  we welcome all ages at the beginning.  Organizers will have the right to trim numbers down if need be and will do so by age.  Our focus is on grass roots hockey.  Minimum equipment required - CSA approved helmet, gloves, stick and skates.

Unfortunately we will have to charge a price per head because the county is charging us for prime ice which is $185/hr. any excess money goes back into the Stix n Pix fund to continue this program.
