Hockey for Samir & Hussin
Was a Busy night in Simcoe last night, having a max of 45 kinds join the Bauer 1st shfit program with Stix n Pix Team.

Please meet Samir & Hussin,
both Syrian refugees getting geared up and ready to take to the ice for the first time!  Good luck to all participants, keep your head up & stick on the ice! and of course Have Fun!!!

Special Thanks to Lisa Girad from Norfolk County, Marty Jefferson SDMHA, and many other volunteers who continue to make this happen!

An email we received below - Thx.

Last night we got the boys all geared out for their First Shift experience.

They are pretty excited for this opportunity. I must say, I was very impressed on how well organized First Shift/Bauer and Simcoe Minor Hockey along with Lisa Girard of Norfolk County were to outfit 45 kids in less than 2 hours!

Unfortunately, they didn't have a few items for our boys to take home but they will be arriving next week at the Rec Centre.  Thank you again for this sponsorship!! I will keep you posted on their development! I think I'm more excited than they are!! Will be taking them both to Boyko's for skate sharpening, stick sizing and tape plus a few other small items that every hockey player needs!!
